Clash of Clans – Supercell announced new TH11, defensive building, hero and bigger map

At ClashCon2015, Jonas Collaros (Senior Server Developer) proudly announced a new TH11, defensive building, hero and bigger map 44×44 will be coming in the future updates. No more details were given. I am looking forward to all the new changes for TH1 to TH11 🙂 [UPDATES 26-01-2016. See below]

UPDATES 25-11-2015 : Attacking, Defending and Village Guard

Town Hall destruction no longer grants a shield – bring your Town Halls inside!

No shields for you if “attacks of less than 50% maximum army capacity (based on the Army Camp, Clan Caste and Hero capacity of the defender’s Town Hall level) will not grant any shield, regardless of the destruction done. Leaving the Town Hall outside to get “snipped” will become an incredibly poor idea.”

With the new system:

  • A 12-hour shield is granted at 30% destruction
  • A 14-hour shield is granted at 60% destruction
  • A 16-hour shield is granted at 90% destruction
  • However, NO SHIELD is granted if the attacker does not deploy at least 50% of a full army

Village Guard is a new, short-term way to prevent attacks on your village while your shield is down:

  • While Village Guard is active, your village acts as if you are online, even if you close the game or get disconnected
  • Players can freely attack through Village Guard with no penalty
  • Free Village Guard time activates automatically when shields expire, from 15 minutes to 3 hours long based on League
  • 2 hours of extra Village Guard can be bought for 10 gems every day in the shop, when your shield is down (23 hour cool down)
  • Active Village Guard can be dismissed at any time
  • Buying a Shield from the Shop will dismiss active Village Guard

Think of the Village Guard like giving your device to your little brother to keep you online – except that the Village Guard won’t embarrass you in Clan chat and spend all your gems. If you ever need to step away from your device for a small period of time, the Village Guard stands ready to watch over things until you get back, even if you close the game. The Village Guard will also help players get back to the game even if they are a few minutes late after their shield expires, and will let top-level players play completely free of the stress of an unintentional disconnect due to inactivity. “Anyone There?” Yes! The Village Guard!

In line with our other shield system changes, the Personal Break system will also be undergoing some changes to make sure all Clashers participate in regular defending as well as regular attacking, and in a fairer and more flexible way:

  • A player is forced offline for 6 minutes after 3 hours of cumulative online time (or Village Guard time) without shield
  • This Personal Break 3-hour limit is only reset after getting a shield, or in some special cases covered below
  • Buying the 2-hour Village Guard from the Shop will extend a player’s current Personal Break 3-hour limit by 2 hours
  • The Personal Break 3-hour limit for online players is paused during server maintenance, but not reset

After defending:

  • Every defence that results in a shield will reset the defender’s Personal Break 3-hour limit
  • Every defence that DOESN’T result in a shield will instead result in a 15-minute extension of the defender’s Personal Break 3-hour limit and Village Guard time
  • Every 6-minute Personal Break kick out period that doesn’t result in ANY defence will also result in a 15-minute extension of the defender’s Personal Break 3-hour limit and Village Guard time
  • “Mercy Rule” – The 3rd consecutive 15-minute extension will instead fully reset the Personal Break 3-hour limit and trigger the automatic Village Guard based on League
  • If an offline player is not attacked for 3 hours, their Personal Break 3-hour limit is reset, though no Village Guard is awarded

The amount of FREE Village Guard awarded is based on the player’s League:

  • Champion I League players and below get a free 15-minute Village Guard when their shield expires
  • Titan III League players get a free 1-hour Village Guard when their shield expires
  • Titan II League players get a free 2-hour Village Guard when their shield expires
  • Titan I and Legend League players get a free 3-hour Village Guard when their shield expires

I feel like there are too much changes. Players will leave. We are used to the old and simple shield system that wont require users to spend 10 gems! Supercell needs to learn from Microsoft. They took away the Start button and forced to bring it back 🙂

UPDATES 26-11-2015 : Loot, League Bonuses and Trophy

The first set of changes involves the Town Hall becoming a primary loot target. Even Trophy pushers should take note of the last item on this list!

  • Available loot is now distributed to the Town Hall as well as storages (maximum loot is unchanged)
  • Town Halls contain a share of loot equal to one Gold Storage, one Elixir Storage and 1/4 Dark Elixir storage
  • The Town Hall is now looted only when it is completely destroyed by an attacker
  • Town Hall Gold, Elixir and Dark Elixir storage increases by Town Hall Level
  • The Town Hall and Clan Castle now count as resource buildings, so Goblins can target them for double damage

Also for the loot hunters comes changes to the League Bonus system to make it worth more, but only if you attack well:

  • All League Bonuses have been significantly increased
  • League Bonus loot is now progressive from 0% to 100%, based on destruction percentage of a victorious attack
  • 100% League Bonus is earned at 70% destruction

Also, the Trophy pushers out there will be seeing some much needed rebalancing of high-level Trophy offers. High-level players will be gaining more Trophies from attacks and losing less from defence:

  • Trophy offers of defenders with less Trophies now increase based on total Trophy count
  • Trophy offers of defenders with more Trophies now decrease based on total Trophy count

Finally, there are some general-purpose multi-player matchmaking changes to support all the rest:

  • Available loot percentage on Town Hall levels 6 through 10 has been slightly increased
  • Multi-player targets one Town Hall level lower are now worth slightly less loot to attackers
  • Multi-player matchmaking is now less likely to offer targets at a 2-level Town Hall difference (only below Champion League)

The Town Hall is the heart of a village, so the building should always be of prime importance to attack and defend. Even though Trophy pushers are always eager to flatten every Town Hall they find, loot hunters haven’t really much cared. Now that Town Hall destruction no longer grants shield, what practical value does the Town Hall bring to a loot hunter? In the upcoming update, the answer will be simple: more loot!

UPDATES 29-11-2015 : Summaries and some changes from Supercell

Shields:

  • No shield given from Town Hall destruction
  • [UPDATED] No shield given if attacker does not deploy at least 1/3rd of a full army
    • Full army: Maximum possible space of Army Camp and Heroes (weighted x25 space) of defender TH level
  • 12 hours shield given at 30% destruction
  • 14 hours shield given at 60% destruction
  • 16 hours shield given at 90% destruction

Attacking Through Shield:

  • Can now enter Multiplayer matchmaking or Revenge without affecting shield
  • Executing Multiplayer or Revenge attack while shielded deducts 3 hours of shield
  • Additional attacks in the same shield deduct more hours (4, 5, 6, 8, 10, 12 hours)
  • Shields can be dismissed manually (to intentionally take a defense)

Village Guard:

  • Village Guard prevents you from being attacked while shield is down
  • Can go online, offline and attack with no penalty under Village Guard
  • Free Village Guard activates when a shield expires:
    • Titan I / Legend League: 3 hours free Village Guard
    • Titan II League: 2 hours free Village Guard
    • Titan III League: 1 hour free Village Guard
    • [UPDATED] Champion League (all levels): 30 minutes free Village Guard
    • Master I League and below: 15 minutes free Village Guard
  • 2 hours extra Village Guard available in Shop for 10 gems while shield is down (23 hour cooldown)
  • Village Guard can be dismissed manually (to intentionally take a defense)

Personal Break Timer (PBT):

  • PBT is 3 hours: forced offline for 6 minutes after 3 hours cumulative online time without shield
  • PBT resets when gaining shield, or in other reset cases below
  • Buying 2-hour Village Guard from shop extends current PBT by 2 hours
  • PBT paused during server maintenance, but not reset
PBT reset cases:
  • After defense with shield: Full PBT reset
  • After a defense without shield OR 6-minute PBT kickout without defense: PBT extended (+15 minutes to PBT, +15 minutes Village Guard)
  • After 2nd consecutive defense without shield OR 6-minute PBT kickout without defense: PBT extended (+15 minutes to PBT, +15 minutes Village Guard)
  • After 3rd consecutive defense without shield OR 6-minute PBT kickout without defense: Full PBT reset + Free Village Guard based on League
  • After 3 hours consecutive offline time without defense: Full PBT reset (no Village Guard given)

Loot:

  • Town Hall contains much more loot (shares available loot with storages)
  • Town Hall has loot worth of 1 Gold & Elixir Storage + 1/4th Dark Elixir Storage
  • Town Hall and Clan Castle count as resource buildings – Goblins will attack them for x2 damage
  • Available loot % slightly increased for TH6 through TH10
  • Available loot reduced for attacking one TH level lower

League Bonus:

  • All League Bonuses increased
  • League Bonuses is now progressive, from 0% to 100%, based on destruction percentage
  • 100% League Bonus earned at 70% destruction

Trophy Rebalancing:

  • Trophy offers from lower players increase with League level (from +1 minimum at Bronze to +6 minimum at Titan 1 and Legend)
  • Trophy offers from higher players decrease with League level (e.g. from +56 at Bronze to +48 at Titan 1 and Legend)

[NEW] Other Changes:

  • All trap rearm costs massively reduced (~75% rearm cost reduction on average of all traps)
  • X-Bow reload costs massively reduced (~70% reload cost reduction for all levels)
  • Time until you can be attacked after going offline increased from 1 minute to 5 minutes (to help cases of accidentally going offline)

#13 Sneak Peek Last but definitely not the least, coming at Town Hall 11 we have the Eagle Artillery!  The Eagle Artillery has nearly unlimited range and targets tough enemies with exploding shells. However, it won’t activate until a large amount of troops have been deployed. Eagle Artillery defense has two levels.

We aim to go live on Dec 10th – remember, always subject to change-, so until then we’ll post some new Grand Warden & Eagle Artillery gameplay and a recap probably (I won’t post these on the forums, you can always find it on FB/Twitter). Make sure to put your Town Halls inside by the 10th of December, and spread the word to your clan mates ‘n friends about the upcoming changes to shields, etc.

UPDATES 17-12-2015 : Bug fixes and changes to PBT

We’re going to have a maintenance break on December 17th!

Post-update maintenance patch notes:

  • Fixed a bug in the Personal Break system that could force players into Personal Break even after being offline for a while
  • Personal Break online-time limit has been increased from 3 to 4 hours
  • Personal Break limit now fully resets when being 15 minutes offline without Shield or Guard (was 30 minutes)
  • Personal Break limit extensions increased to 30 minutes (was 15 minutes) after taking a defense without shield or getting kicked out without being attacked
  • Free Guard when Shield expires has been increased for all Leagues:
    – Titan I / Legend: 4 hours Guard (was 3 hours)
    – Titan II: 3 hours Guard (was 2 hours)
    – Titan III: 2 hours Guard (was 1 hour)
    – Champion (all levels): 1 hour Guard (was 30 minutes)
    – Below Champion: 30 minutes Guard (was 15 minutes)
  • Clan War matchmaking parameters have been updated for Town Hall 9 through Town Hall 11
  • Fixed a bug that could allow exceeding the limit of donated Clan Spells
  • Skeleton hit points have been slightly decreased
  • Grand Warden ground/air mode is now always correctly saved
  • X-Mas tree is now spawning

UPDATES 05-01-2016 : Town Hall 11 update follow up from Super Cell

  • ​​​​Resource Saving:​​​​ We know this is a hot topic and a frustration for many of you – we hear you! We’re checking your feedback closely and the state of the game for all players after the update. Improving this is our highest priority right now!
  • ​​​​​​​Personal Breaks, Shields and Village Guard:​​​​​​​ They look solid and feel like they’re working well. We don’t have any plans right now to make changes here, we will focus all our attention on resource saving for the time being.
  • ​​​​​​​Town Hall outside:​​​​​​ Clash was never intended to be played that way – this change is here to stay. However, improving your ability to save resources should alleviate some of the challenges faced when adapting to the new “Town Hall inside” system.

UPDATES 18-01-2016 : Star Bonus, Treasury and Loot Cart

  • Introducing the new Star Bonus! Win five stars in Multiplayer attacks in order to win a daily resource bonus!
  • Housed in your Clan Castle, the Treasury is the safest place to store resources. Your daily Star Bonus and War Loot Bonus are automatically stored in the Treasury for safeguarding and only a very small percentage can be stolen.
  • Last but not least, we’ll introduce the Loot Cart. After your village has been attacked, a percentage of the stolen resources will be added to a Loot Cart in your Village. Once you collect the resources from the Loot Cart, these will be transferred to your Treasury for safeguarding.

I am definitely looking forward to the new Star Bonus, Treasure and Loot Cart!

UPDATES 26-01-2016 : Star Bonus, Treasury and Loot Cart

The Treasury

  • Clan Castles now house a well-protected resource bank: the Treasury
  • The Treasury safeguards bonus loot from Clan Wars and Star Bonuses
  • It’s the safest place to save up bonus loot until you are ready to spend it!
  • The previous concept of “War Loot Storage” has been removed from the Clan Castle info screen, etc.
  • Treasury capacity is determined by Town Hall and Clan Perks levels. Clan Castle level has no effect
  • Clan Perks for “War loot extra storage” have been changed to “Treasury extra storage” (Clan Perk values are unchanged, Treasury storage is similar to War Loot storage at most Town Hall levels)
  • Clan Castle visuals have been updated with the removal of the small storages on the roof

Daily Star Bonus

  • Win 5 stars from multi-player battles to earn bonus loot
  • Earn bigger bonuses at higher Leagues!
  • A new Star Bonus is available every day!
  • Star Bonus rewards are safeguarded in the Treasury
  • The maximum Star Bonus reward is available starting at Titan 3 League (Was Champion 3).

Loot Cart

  • A broken down Loot Cart appears in your Village after every defense
  • Collect this cart to recover some of your lost resources
  • Only one Loot Cart will appear at a time, so collect it right away!
  • The Loot Cart appears randomly in the area village after any defense and it contains 20% of the lost resources
  • If a Loot Cart is already spawned, its Gold, Elixir and/or Dark Elixir values will update if a subsequent defense would be worth more of that resource
  • A Loot Cart cannot be collected if your storages are full.

Balancing

  • The Eagle Artillery now deals 3x damage to Golems and Golemites
  • Second Air Defense unlocks now at Town Hall 6, third at Town Hall 7.

Bug fixes

  • Cases where Skeletons would get stuck in layers of walls especially when chasing Hog Riders are now fixed.
  • Instances where multiple Dark Spells could be donated to Clan Castle are now fixed. Only one Spell can be donated.
  • In some rare cases, players would start an upgrade and then go idle for a longer period of time, and upon returning to the game that same upgrade would wrongly show 20+ days left; this issue has now been addressed.
